Concept art for Gears 5 reveals early designs for infected Deebees, a recurring robotic enemy in the popular video game franchise.

Released by Jerad S. Marantz on Instagram, the artist explained, "Some early #gearsofwar5 design sketches for the the infected #deebees . I had an amazing time working with the @coalition . Great team of incredibly talented artists! Spent a lot of time sketching these guys out before going into Zbrush." The standout designs feature long and large arms, with one holding a firearm. There are also distinctive navy blue and dark grey armor mostly covering their chest and legs.

Former WWE Superstar Dave Bautista was recently revealed to be a playable character in Gears 5. Along with the announcement came a video with Bautista saying, "It's about f*cking time," a reference to a statement he made regarding playing Marcus Fenix in a Gears of War film to be a dream role.

The first Gears of War game released in 2006. There have been eight games in the franchise to date, with Gears 5 being the newest installment. The game has been receiving positive reviews from critics.

Gears 5 is now available on Xbox One and PC.
