The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" have a long history in video games, and the latest, "Out of the Shadows," has arrived, with a newly released trailer showing off its gameplay. Featuring four-player co-op -- not entirely dissimilar to the vintage 1989 "TMNT" arcade game -- and rated "T" for violence, the game isn't directly connected to the current Nickelodeon animated series or the 2014 live-action movie, but contains plenty of familiar elements, like The Shredder and the Foot Clan.

Published by Activision and developed by Red Fly Studios, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" is now available to download on Xbox Live Arcade and Steam for $14.99, and will be on PlayStation Network starting Sept. 24.
