As with the recently released teaser poster, the trailer reveals no footage from the new season and is composed mainly of quotes from characters across, including Daenerys' pledge to "break the wheel" of the existing nobel houses.

This all plays out over a series of visuals depicting the sigils of various houses eventually crumbling into the strange pattern that the White Walkers keep carving out of rocks and broken bodies.

However, the teaser, which is captioned to detail both the name of the character that is speaking and what is being said, appears to feature two quotes that have not yet appeared in the series so far: Ned Stark saying "the same thing is coming for all of us" and Jon Snow saying "There is only one war that matters. The Great War. And it is here."

The teaser was also released via the show's Twitter feed, although this time without captions.
