A newly released HBO promo is meant to recall the channel’s iconic introductory sound that precedes all of its original programming, but the promo may have revealed something more: new costumes for the upcoming seventh season of the massively popular action-fantasy series “Game of Thrones.”

The promo includes numerous “Game of Thrones” performers, including Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister; Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow; Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen; Kristofer Hivju, who plays Tormund Giantsbane; Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark; and Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Bran Stark.

Perhaps the most striking new costume is worn by Clarke, whose Daenerys has spent the majority of the series garbed in fine dresses and gems. The clothing Clarke wears in the promo is more akin to a Northern military general. With long sleeves and thick inner padding, the coat almost looks like the kind of garb a Stark living in Winterfell would adopt.

Clarke certainly isn’t the only character wearing notable garments. The upcoming seventh season of “Game of Thrones” is slated to be the penultimate one for the series, which is planned to wrap with season eight. No doubt the eccentric cast of characters will be making big plays—and big changes—as the war between fire and ice heats up.

Debuting on HBO on July 16, the seventh season of “Game of Thrones” is a production of HBO developed for television by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss starring Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Aidan Gillen, Liam Cunningham, Carice van Houten and Rory McCann.
