It’s still kind of hard to believe that the World War Z movie adaptation is actually happening after the extended process that led to Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment partnering with Paramount on the production. It is, though, and the cast is growing. The latest to join is Elyes Gabel, who you probably know from his role as Dothrakan Rakharo on HBO’s Game of Thrones.
Gabel will play a character named Fassbach, The Hollywood Reporter reveals, though there’s no detail about how this person fits into the story. What matters is that World War Z continues to take shape, which is good news for everybody.
The newcomer joins a cast that already includes Pitt, James Badge Dale and Mireille Enos. Marc Forster will direct the 2012 release, with a script from Matthew Michael Carnahan and J. Michael Straczynski.
