Beyond a January launch date, no further details were provided about Rogue & Gambit. We can likely expect more information either Thursday, during the "Marvel Legacy: The Next Big Thing" panel, or Friday, during "Marvel Legacy: X-Men."

Rogue & Gambit

Rogue and Gambit have a lengthy, complicated romantic history dating back to the early 1990s, shortly after the introduction of Remy LeBeau. Their relationship has been very much on-again, off-again over the years; they find themselves once more reunited, although not exactly happily, in the newly relaunched Astonishing X-Men.

Gambit is of course Remy LeBeau, the devil-may-care thief with the mutant ability to to create, control and manipulate kinetic energy, typically transforming playing cards into explosive projectiles. Rogue is Anna Marie, the adoptive daughter of Mystique who grew up as a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants before reforming and joining the X-Men. A mutant who can absorb the psyche and powers of virtually anyone with whom she comes in direct contact, Rogue also possesses superhuman strength and the ability to fly due to her early encounter with Carol Danvers.

Rogue has headlined a pair of miniseries and a relatively short-lived ongoing, while Gambit has starred in a handful of solo titles, and starred or co-starred in several miniseries. However, this is the first time Rogue and Gambit have shared the marquee on a comic.=
