G.I. JOE

Musician-turned-actor Common told MTV that he could become a convention regular for yet another reason. “On the movie side, Common said he was being offered the part of Road Block in the ‘G.I. Joe’ movie, but nothing has been solidified yet.”

JUSTICE LEAGUE

Defying the conventional reasoning that there’s no such thing as Canada, the Sydney Morning Herald reports that the George Miller-helmed production could be headed to North America due to financial considerations.

CBR News has the inside scoop on the premiere of the new animated series.

SUPERHERO MOVIE

IRON MAN

IGN also has a video interview with director Jon Favreau at Wondercon.

Favreau also told Sci Fi Wire that all things lead to Avengers Mansion. “I don’t want to blow anything, and also I don’t honestly know where it’s all going to land,” Favreau said. “I know that there are sort things that have been discussed and tried and talked about. I know at the end of the day on the horizon is ‘The Avengers,’ and the idea is to have chapters of all of the characters that would contribute to being ‘The Avengers’ … Hopefully, we’re all going toward ‘The Avengers.'”

BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT

Superhero Hype has the press release for the new animated DVD release, which fans can expect on July 8th.

THE DARK KNIGHT

While we’re dealing with Gotham City, CBR’s own Rich Johnston has an interesting rumor about Anthony Michael Hall’s role in the Bat-sequel.

Comics2Film has an article featuring the show’s producer Melanie Melanson talking about how the indie comic came to the small screen.

SILVER SURFER

Creator J. Michael Straczynski is quoted at Newsarama talking about what to expect from the Norrin Radd story. “For what the ‘Silver Surfer’ movie entails Straczynski says it will cover the origin of the character. He said it will feature Galactus, noting that the latest ‘Fantastic Four’ film held off on showing Galactus to reveal him for this film.”

SMALLVILLE

Kryptonsite has production stills for the March 20th episode, “Traveler.”

EL CAPITAN TRUENO

Admittedly, it’s not in English, but you can find a teaser trailer here.

THE SPIRIT

Director Frank Miller has posted a new production blog on the official website talking about the actors he’s working with. The film opens January 16th, 2009.

MOVIE STARS?

CBR News has a special report on movie makers Steve Carrell, Anne Hathaway and Roland Emmerich at Wondercon.

I CAN’T WORK UNDER THESE CONDITIONS

We can’t do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos — they’re all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, “What do you mean your sister’s dating somebody who works for Miles Millar?” The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web’s rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we’ve got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, and [tagline due to return with new WGA drafts shortly].
