AVENGERS

Marvel marketer Doug Finberg told Sci Fi Wire how Steve Rogers will become one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. "It's something we're considering, and really at the end of the day, everyone is going to know that he is Captain America," Finberg said. "Ultimately, the final expectation, the final verdict, is with the fans, and that's something that the team of Marvel does a phenomenal job at, actually making the best movie from the material they can."

Actor Adrian Pasdar told Sci Fi Wire about what Nathan Petrelli will be like this season. "I don't feel like I'm playing Sylar," Pasdar said. "I feel like I'm playing a guy who's playing Nathan. You see what I'm saying? I'm not trying to act like Sylar. Sylar's trying to act like Nathan. A little tic ... here, a little compulsive, obsessive behavior somewhere else."

Actor Brandon Routh told MTV that things won't be quite as extreme as they were in print. "The comic property would probably be rated 'R,' we're going for a PG-13 so more people can enjoy the film," Routh said. "It's [not just] gore and horror, it's a lot more straight action, with a bit of comedy."

The dollars keep rolling in: the score at Box Office Mojo lists the film's worldwide total at $387,346,000 ... and they note that "the picture scored the second-largest five-day start of all time behind 'The Dark Knight's' $203.8 million. The first 'Transformers' opening weekend came in at $70.5 million, and it didn't cross $200 million until its 12th day. What's more, 'Revenge' had the biggest IMAX weekend ever: included in its grosses was $11.7 million at 169 IMAX locations (for $14.4 million in five days), topping former title holder 'Star Trek's' $8.5 million at 138 venues."
