Fox really seems to be stepping up promotion for its new eight-part "X-Men" spin-off TV series "Legion", releasing not just one, but four new promos.

Three of the four have a similar theme, each taking place in a psychiatric doctor's office with the character speaking, and the doctor gradually revealed through a spherical mirror. First we see protagonist David Haller (Dan Stevens), then his girlfriend, Syd (Rachel Keller), and finally, his older sister, Amy (Kate Aselton) -- but who is holding the mirror?

The fourth promo focuses on David alone, in a straightjacket in a padded cell listening to the cacophony of voices in his head and then being liberated into a swirling blue cloud by his own strange abilities.

"Legion," tells the story of David Haller, a young man with dissociative identity disorder and multiple mutant abilities. According to the show’s official description, “Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.”
