Anna Torv’s (“Fringe”) making her TV comeback in David Fincher’s upcoming Netflix crime drama, “Mind Hunter,” as one of the series’ protagonists.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Torv is playing a psychologist named Wendy in the series, opposite Jonathan Groff (“Looking”) as a special agent by the name of Holden.
Based on the 1996 nonfiction novel “Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit” by John Douglas and Mark Olshanker, the TV adaptation, set in 1979, follows two FBI agents who interview serial killers in an attempt to solve current cases.
From a script by Joe Penhall (“The Road”), “Mind Hunter” is executive produced by Fincher and Charlize Theron for Netflix. The project was originally developed at HBO by FOX 21.
