Lastman, the acclaimed French martial-arts fantasy comic, is being developed as a 3D fighting game titled, appropriately enough, Lastfight. You can watch the announcement trailer below.

The comic, by Bastien Vivès, Balak and Michael Sanlaville, Lastman is an homage to American pop culture that centers on a cigarette-smoking, leather jacket-wearing stranger who enrolls in the gladiatorial-style games of a medieval fantasy world, but insists on relying on his martial-arts skills rather than magic. The series is published by Casterman in France and, beginning this month, by First Second in the United States.

Developed by Piranaking, Lastfight will be released for PC and consoles some time this year. You can check out concept art on the company's Facebook page.
