The untitled "Flash"/"Arrow" spinoff gains another cast member in Franz Drameh, who will play Jay Jackson on the show.

According to the official character description, Jay Jackson is "a former high school athlete, whose pro-career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meets as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew." The character was not given a superhero moniker in the press release, though it should be noted that Warner Bros. has kept a careful distance between their television and film adaptations of characters.

Drameh's past credits include "Edge of Tomorrow" and "Attack of the Block." He will appear with Idris Elba in "A Hundred Streets" later this year.

Scheduled for later this year, the "Flash" and "Arrow" spinoff is set to star Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom on "Arrow"), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold on "Flash"), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heat Wave on "Flash"), Victor Garber (Martin Stein/one-half of Firestorm on "Flash"), Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl) and Caity Lotz in an as-yet undisclosed role, following the death of her "Arrow" character of Sara Lance at the start of this season. "Flash" and "Arrow" vets Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim are set to executive produce.
