If you haven't seen "Captain America: Civil War" yet, then you might want to steer clear of this articles for spoiler reasons. If you have seen "Civil War," then you know that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is down a few villains -- including Frank Grillo's Crossbones. Or maybe not, as the actor teased during an appearance on "Good Morning America" last week.

The opening action sequence of "Civil War" saw the Avengers giving chase to Crossbones, an altercation that ended up with the villain exploding in midair, causing massive property damage. For all intents and purposes, Crossbones died -- but Grillo's not so sure.

"You think he dies, don't you?" said Grillo with a smile. "Did you see the body? What did you see?" Grillo pointed out that his character had a building dropped on him in "Captain America: Winter Soldier" and lived to fight again -- albeit heavily scarred -- in this year's "Civil War." "That happened last time," he said. "I'm not saying anything except that ... you didn't see a body."

Whether or not Crossbones survived the blast remains to be seen, and it's not clear where he would pop up again if he did survive; Grillo has signed a multi-picture deal with Marvel Studios, but the "Captain America" franchise has seemingly come to an end. Could he pop up in "Avengers: Infinity War"? The next "Avengers" films are helmed by the crew behind "Winter Soldier" and "Civil War." Only time will tell.
