It's been just three weeks since Sleepy Hollow premiered, but Fox has already ordered a 13-episode second season of the hit fantasy thriller. Variety notes it's the first fall debut to be renewed.

Inspired by Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," the drama stars Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane, a soldier in George Washington's army revived in the present day alongside the Headless Horseman, who's revealed to be the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Ichabod must team with Lt. Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), a young cop with her own supernatural experiences, to save Sleepy Hollow, and the world, from destruction.

Sleepy Hollow debuted Sept. 16 to 10 million viewers (which ended up being 13.6 million after three days), making it one of the network's most successful fall premieres in more than a decade.
