After nearly a decade in development, the pieces at last appear to be falling into place for the film adaptation of "Queen & Country," Greg Rucka's Oni Press spy thriller.

Variety reports Fox has hired "Little Women" scribe Olivia Milch to rewrite John Rogers' script for the project, which less than three weeks ago lined up Craig Viveiros ("The Liability," "Ghosted") to direct.

Oscar nominee Ellen Page ("Juno," "X-Men: Days of Future Past") signed on in September to star as Tara Chace, an operative of the Special Operations Section of Britain's Secret Intelligence Service who must contend with bureaucracy and politics as well as external threats to the nation.

The film is being produced by Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping under through Chernin Entertainment ("Dawn of the Planet of the Apes").
