"Deadpool" producer Simon Kinberg revealed Fox is already talking about a sequel to the Merc with a Mouth's solo film during an interview with Collider.

"We certainly are talking about the sequel," Kinberg shared. "We were talking about the sequel while we were making the movie just because when you make a film like this that's from a serialized source material, you hope that it's the first of many... But yeah [Fox is] feeling good about it, we're all feeling really proud of it, so hopefully before it comes out we will be well into the process of figuring out a sequel."

Though the film isn't out until February, this isn't the first time someone has brought up a "Deadpool" film sequel. Director Tim Miller also mentioned something along those lines when he was discussing Deadpool villains in an earlier interview: "There aren't really many definitive Deadpool villains, apart from Cable. If we don't put Cable in 'Deadpool 2,' I think we'll be run out of town on a rail."

Directed by Miller and starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Brianna Hildebrand and Gina Carano, "Deadpool" is scheduled to open Feb. 12, 2016.
