To coincide with the release of Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), Epic Games is teaming up with DC to bring players a little taste of the movie. Starting today, the Fortnite Item Shop will house the Harley Quinn Bundle, which features cosmetics of Margot Robbie's titular character.

Included in the bundle will be the Harley Quinn Outfit and Harley Hitter and Punchline Pickaxes. The outfit is an exact copy of the iconic one Harley donned in Suicide Squad, right down to the blue and red shorts. The two pickaxes available in the bundle are the baseball bat made famous in the 2016 hit film and a mallet reminiscent of the one seen in the Birds of Prey trailers.

And if that all wasn't enough, Fortnite will offer challenges for those who purchase the bundle that will allow players to unlock a variation of the Harley skin. Dubbed "Always Fantabulous Harley," this alternate skin is one of the looks Robbie's character will wear in Birds of Prey. To unlock Always Fantabulous Harley, players will need to complete three Challenges:

  • Place top 30 in Solo, Duos or Squads, then top 20, then top 10.
  • Hit weak points.
  • Deal damage using Pickaxes.

Fortnite blasted its way onto the crossover scene with its ambitious Avengers: Infinity War tie-in, which included a gamemode that allowed users to play as Thanos. Since then, Epic Games has only stepped up their events, crossing over with Stranger Things, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, IT: Chapter Two and others.

It should come as no surprise that Fortnite and DC are once again teaming up for a tie-in after the massive success of the Batman Day event. In September, the Battle Royale mode was flush with content relating to the Dark Knight, including a Gotham POI, comics-accurate pickaxes and gliders and a couple of incredible Batman skins. To this day, many still regard the Batman Day event as the game's most successful, so players should have high hopes for this Birds of Prey tie-in.

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script by Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ewan McGregor, Ella Jay Basco, Steven Williams, Derek Wilson, Dana Lee, Francois Chau, Charlene Amoia, Chris Messina and Matthew Willig. The film arrives Feb. 7.
