Ft. Lauderdale, FL. – FLORIDA SUPERCON would like to announce the addition of four more guests for the June 22-24, 2007 show, including; Comic Book Superstar Artist: Todd Nauck, Anime voice actor & director: Christopher Ayres and Writer: Phillip Lee McCall II.
Todd Nauck has 12 years of art credits in the comic book community, with work including: Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Teen Titans Go, Superman, Young Justice, Teen Titans, 52, Supergirl, Legion of Super Heroes, as well as countless others. He also writes and draws his own title, WildGuard, through Image Comics, which has been featured in TV Guide and Wizard Magazine. Todd Nauck’s super hero art can be found in comic books sold world wide, trade paperbacks, toy blister cards, and has been made into statues and toys. One of the books he penciled, Young Justice, received nominations for two Eisner Awards, the comic book industry’s top honor. (Categories: Best Title for Young Readers and Best New Title 1998)
Christopher Ayres is a director/choreographer/fight director and voice actor who lives in Houston Texas. He is a voice actor for ADV Films and Funimation inc. and has been working professionally in theatre, television and film since the age of 6. His work has been seen Regionally, Nationally and on Broadway. Recently, he has started working as an A.D. R. Director for ADV FILMS, with his first project THE NERIMA DAIKON BROTHERS. Some of the roles Chris is best known for as a voice actor are Kei Kourono in Gantz, Suitengu in Speed Grapher, Von Kampher in Trinity Blood, Hayashimizu in Full Metal Panic? Fummofu, Nakamaru in Maburaho, Yaminami in Peacemaker, Yusuf Ali Mesa in Yugo the Negotiator, Koji in Godanner, Murato in Hakugei – Legend of the Moby Dick, Sawadust in A Tree of Palme, Dr. Pluto in BASToF Syndrome, Akimoto in Sakura Diaries, Multiple Villains in Gatchaman, Kenji Kurata in Diamond Daydreams, Oshodani in Pappuwa, Jimpachi Arishiama in Nanka 6/17, and Woogy in Michel. His voice can also be heard in Elfin Lied, Gravion Zwie, Utwararerumono, Air Gear , Coyote Ragtime Show and Desert Punk to name a few.
Philip Lee McCall II was born in North Miami Beach, Florida under the sign Scorpio. He has always been fascinated by mythology and all things fantastic. Philip has been writing for many years and it seems that he will not stop anytime soon. Writing has always given him a way to express his love for both Fantasy and Science fiction. When he is not writing a story of the fantastic, he lives quietly with Frances, his muse and wife. They share their magical home in Florida with a Persian named Baby, and two Rat Terriers named Merlin and Gypsy. He is a member of Citters.org and acting administrator for WOSAF (Writers of Science Fiction and Fantasy). Phillip is the author of “For The Hell of It” and “Before You Imagine, Forget All You Know”.
Florida Supercon is a multi-format convention for comic book, sci-fi, animation and anime fans taking place June 22-24, 2007 in Ft. Lauderdale. FL. The show will include celebrity guests, writers, artists, filmmakers, vendors, guests, Q&A’s, film festival, parties, costume contest, giveaways, anime programming, manga, cosplay, workshops, panels and more.
