In an interview with Ain’t It Cool News, Joss Whedon discussed a cut scene between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers that would have called out the relationship between Captain America and Howard Stark.
“Actually the only time Chris and Robert were in the Quinjet, I had a little run about the father, and on the day they were like ‘We’re not so comfortable with this.’ I went ‘Okay, let’s pull it,’ so there’s really just the one comment,” Whedon told AICN. “But I feel like you don’t necessarily need to say it. It’s there. I mean, Chris is such a father figure as Steve Rogers – even though he’s young and maybe just by virtue of the fact that he is a beautiful fuddy-duddy. Their relationship I think resonates without having to call it back too much. And when he says ‘And every time I would think ‘You know, your father would never say that,” I wanted Tony to say ‘My Dominic Cooper father or my John Slattery father? Because they were very different guys.'”
The Hollywood Reporter has posted a video featuring the stars of Earth’s Mightiest Movie, where they recall the beginnings of the film and speak very briefly on their characters.
Deadline reports “The Avengers” (or as it’s known overseas, “Avengers Assemble”) is already breaking box office records. Earth’s Mightiest Movie has so far made $6.2 million in Australia, $3 million in France, $1.3 million in the Phillippines, $1.2 million in Taiwan and $800,000 in New Zealand for a total $12.5 million from the five countries. According to Deadline, this would make it the highest opening day ever for Marvel in Australia.
Finally, Comic Book Movie has posted a video of the Disney presentation at CinemaCon 2012 featuring Kevin Feige, who detailed the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following “The Avengers.”

In an audio interview with Comic Book Club, fan-favorite Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy may have let slip the next big DC Universe Animated Movie and it has the potential to be a pretty massive undertaking.
“Oh! I did, just last night, record an animated movie that features the Flash. It’s more about the Flash but Batman is in it as well. What is the name of it? I can’t remember. Flash — ‘Flashpoint.’ I think it’s ‘Flashpoint.'”
If Conroy is correct about the title, it would mean Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert’s event that kickstarted the New 52 may be headed for an animated film very soon.

ROBOT CHICKEN: DC COMICS SPECIAL
The folks over at “Robot Chicken” are at it again, this time taking on the characters of the DC Universe. “Robot Chicken” co-creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich commented via press release about the special and working with DC Chief Creative Officer and former “Robot Chicken” writer Geoff Johns.
“Having been raised on DC Comics and the Super Friends vs. Legion of Doom, it’s exciting to tell a whole Robot Chicken story within this awesome universe,” said Green.
“We’ve been working with Geoff Johns for over 15 years, so playing together on this special only made it more fun to work in the worlds we all love so dearly,” said Senreich.
No release date was announced, but keep an eye out for more details.
