With the threat of the Dominators eliminated (for now), it's time for the Flash to get back to the business of dealing with the God of Speed, Savitar. In a new clip from the midseason winter finale, titled "The Present," Barry Allen travels to Earth-3 to seek advice from fellow speedster Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp).

The video, which you can watch over at TVLine, begins with Garrick confronting Earth-3's Trickster (Mark Hamill) and being welcomed by a hail of gunfire. Jay easily catches all the bullets in his metal helmet and cuffs the criminal to his wrist. Trickster has one last trick up his sleeve and reveals a bomb strapped to his chest. Enter Barry Allen, as he defuses the bomb and ties up Trickster. Jay remarks, "I had that, kid," to which Barry replies, "That's what I always say -- especially when I didn't have it." Jay assumes Barry didn't travel all the way to Earth-3 to stop his Trickster, and Barry reveals he came to talk about a speedster named Savitar.

BARRY SEEKS HELP FROM JAY GARRICK — With Alchemy and Savitar still looming threats, Barry (Grant Gustin) is unable to focus on the Christmas holiday, and especially his relationship with Iris (Candice Patton). Determined to stop Savitar, Barry goes to Earth-3 to get advice from Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp). Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) wants to help Barry fight Savitar and reveals that he’s been training with H.R. (Tom Cavanagh), which doesn’t go over well with Barry. As Cisco (Carlos Valdes) faces his first Christmas without his brother Dante (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez), old wounds are reopened. Rachel Talalay directed the episode with story by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing and teleplay by Lauren Certo (#309). Original airdate 12/6/2016.
