After months of anticipation, the "Flash"/"Supergirl" musical crossover event is almost here. The two-parter will kick off in tonight's "Supergirl" and lead into tomorrow's "Flash," which will feature both titular heroes trapped in the Music Meister's (Darren Criss) made-up musical world. The long-awaited musical episode will make use of the musical talents of many of the CW's superhero actors. Actors Victor Garber, Jeremy Jordan, Carlos Valdes and Jesse L. Martin have all performed on Broadway. Additionally, series leads Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist both had roles on Fox's musical drama "Glee" (a show that also starred Music Meister actor Darren Criss).

A new clip from the musical "Flash" episode has emerged, one that gives us a taste of Gustin and Benoist's performing power. The two timidly enter into a song and dance number, one with lyrics -- penned by "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" co-creator Rachel Bloom -- including the phrase "super friends." Of course that's a nod to the immensely popular DC cartoon series "Super Friends," which ran in the '70s and '80s. You can check out the first part of the number below.

DARREN CRISS (“GLEE”) GUEST STARS AS THE MUSIC MEISTER IN THE FLASH AND SUPERGIRL MUSICAL CROSSOVER – Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon- El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end.

The action begins in tonight's "Supergirl" episode, titled "Star-Crossed," which will include the aforementioned Music Meister whammy. The musical "Flash" episode "Duet" will air tomorrow night at 8 PM on the CW. The episode will also feature songs from the “La La Land” songwriting duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

Starring Grant Gustin as the Scarlet Speedster, "The Flash" airs Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Keiynan Lonsdale and more.
