There's been a bit of news surrounding Firestorm, the fiery hero played by Robbie Amell and Victor Garber that saw his (or rather, their) origin unfold over the course of "Flash's" first season. We know that Garber will be a regular on the upcoming spinoff series "Legends of Tomorrow," but his partner-in-Firestorm Amell has not been confirmed as playing a part in the new show. There was even video proof that newcomer Jay Jackson might take on the role, although the video was taken down by the CW. That doesn't mean that Amell's superhero days are over, not by a longshot.

USA Today has a new clip from "The Flash's" season two premiere, an episode titled "The Man Who Saved Central City," and it features Amell's hero teaming up with the Flash (Grant Gustin) to take on future "Legends of Tomorrow" stars Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell).

"The Flash" returns this Tuesday on the CW.
