Concept artist Andy Poon offers a glimpse into what could have been, sharing a look at some early concept art for "The Flash's" first evil speedster of the third season, the Rival.

As you can see, the version Poon and costume designer Maya Mani envisioned was a little less colorful than the one Todd Lasance brought to life in the Season Three premiere, "Flashpoint," and a little more sinister. The mask covers the villain's entire face, crackling with Speed Force energy, rather than the open-faced cowl Lasance wore on television.

Poon also shared a look at his and Mani's design work for Wally West's (don't call him Kid) Flash costume, as well as Black Siren, the Earth 2 evil doppelganger of Katie Cassidy's Black Canary.
