Though they've only been an official item for a short period of time, Barry Allen and Iris West are poised to finally get married in The Flash's next season.

When The Flash returns for Season 4, the show will undoubtedly work towards bringing Barry back from the Speed Force; after all, he can't get married if he's not on Earth! Fans have been told to expect a more lightheaded and fun season of the series, and Barry being happily married is certainly keeping inline with that promise.

Confirmation of their upcoming marriage came from Andrew Kreisberg, executive producer of The Flash, when he spoke to EW“They are finally going to get married this season and then it’s going to be: Can they stay married with everything that’s coming up against them?”

In typical fashion, things probably won't go so smoothly for the newly-weds. Barry's a masked vigilante who faces off against gods and supervillains, after all. With that vocation comes risks and, inevitably, sacrifices. Will he sideline his wife, Iris, to protect his city? That's the question, isn't it?
