As one famous Marvel hero is prone to saying, "Flame On!"

Plans for the first New York City-based LGBTQ convention are ramping up, as Flame Con has announced artist Phil Jimenez (Wonder Woman, Angela: Asgard's Assassin) as its latest guest.

The convention, set for June 13 at Brooklyn's Grand Prospect Hall, looks to showcase creators and celebrities from comics, games, film and television. The addition of Jimenez comes arrives on the heels of the announcement of Kris Anka and Kevin Wada.

Geek OUT!, the organization producing Flame Con, raised more than $19,000 for the event last fall through a Kickstarter campaign.

Flame Con follows on the success of the Los Angeles-area LGBTQ convention Bent-Con, held annually since 2010.  Flame Con's venue, Grand Prospect Hall, has a capacity of up to 8,000 depending, on the configuration of the event.
