With the start of principal photography looming, the first photos have surfaced from the Queensland, Australia, set of Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok."

The images, which can be seen at the Golden Coast Bulletin and the Daily Mail, show construction of (presumably) Asgardian buildings amid trees and grazing sheep.

Filming is targeted to begin July 4 at Village Roadshow Studios in Oxenford, which has been used for such productions as "Peter Pan," "San Andreas" and the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" and "Kong: Skull Island."

Directed by New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi ("What We Do in the Shadows," "The Hunter for the Wilderpeople"), "Thor: Ragnarok" stars franchise veterans Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. They're joined by Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Karl Urban as Skurge.

"Thor: Ragnarok" opens Nov. 3, 2017.
