The title of "Hardcore Henry" has changed since the first trailer surfaced in September (it was then called simply "Hardcore"), but its frantic pace certainly hasn't.

Billed as the “world’s first action film to be shot 100% from the hero’s perspective,” "Hardcore Henry" is essentially a first-person shooter video game come to life.

Produced by Timur Bekmambetov and directed by Ilya Naishuller, the sci-fi action thriller follows Henry (that's you) as he's brought back to life by his wife, who's then almost immediately kidnapped by a powerful warlord with designs on world domination. As Henry makes his way through an unfamiliar Moscow, he discovers that virtually everyone wants him dead (again), except for a mysterious British man named Jimmy (Sharlto Copley).

"Hardcore Henry," which had its world premiere last fall at the Toronto International Film Festival, will arrive in theaters April 8.

In addition to the trailer, an evocative first poster for the film has also been released.
