With Bruce Wayne returning from his journey to the very beginning of the DC Universe and Dick Grayson about to unveil the identity of the Black Mask, one question that remains around the future of the Dark Knight is what lies in store for "Batman" #700. The June-shipping milestone issue is one of three such events for DC Comics that month (along with "Superman" #700 and "Wonder Woman" #700), and today the publisher let loose with it's first creative team member for the series anniverary issue: cover artist David Finch.

"Batman is such an iconic character and I've been a huge fan for so long that it was a surreal and amazing experience to draw him officially for the first time," Finch said on DC's The Source blog where the following cover was debuted (click through to see Finch's raw pencils).
