Empire has debuted the first look at James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe on the set of Fox's "Victor Frankenstein."

Directed by Paul McGuigan ("Sherlock," "Lucky Number Slevin") from a script by Max Landis ("Chronicle"), the reinterpretation of Mary Shelley's Gothic horror classic it told from the perspective of Igor (Radcliffe), the troubled young assistant to medical student Victor Von Frankenstein (McAvoy).

“As much as the monster is his creation, Igor is his creation as well,” McAvoy explained to Empire on the film's set. “That was quite exciting. It’s funny, the script, but also really dark, in a cool way."

Opening Oct. 2, "Victor Frankenstein" also stars Mark Gatiss, Jessica Brown Findlay and Andrew Scott.
