While the majority of "Daredevil's" cast has so far been revealed via stills and posters, forward-facing shots of Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin have been noticeably absent. Today, a new photo from the Netflix series, unveiled by USA Today, offers our first clear look at the villain, with D'Onofrio looking more menacing than ever as Daredevil's arch enemy, Wilson Fisk.

Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight has stated that "Daredevil" will simultaneously track Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk's transformations into the man without fear -- and the mobster who instills fear. "He had a passion and an understanding of what we were trying to do, of making it a very grounded, gritty, realistic show," said DeKnight in the photo's accompanying article on USA Today. "Here is an actor who's really thinking about it on not only a character depth but a visual depth that I really loved."

For the role of Kingpin, D'Onofrio studied the source material closely and took on the character's signature look by shaving his head and adding 30 pounds to his already imposing 250-pound, 6-foot-3 frame. "I wanted him to have an appearance of being super-powerful so that when he throws a punch, it's a major punch," D'Onofrio told USA Today. "There's a lot of weight behind it."

Produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios, the drama also stars Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Bob Gunton as Leland Owlsely, Vondie Curtis Hall as Ben Urich, Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley, Wilson Fisk's right-hand man, Ayelet Zurer as Venessa Fisk and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.

All 13 episodes will premiere April 10 on Netflix.
