Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con International issue is the gift that keeps on giving, first delivering new concept art for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and more images from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and now our first look at the long-teased "Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter" -- along with actual details.

As many assumed when actress Hayley Atwell initially dropped hints about the short film in April, the bonus feature for the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray is a period piece that follows Peggy Carter's post-Captain America: The First Avenger career with for the Strategic Scientific Reserve.

According to Marvel Studios Co-President Louis D'Esposito, who oversees the shorts, "Agent Carter" provides the connective tissue between Iron Man 3 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. “It’s a year since Cap plunged into the ocean,” he tells EW. “And in our mind, we said there’s a few SSR offices. If you want to relate it to now, it’s like the OSS, the precursor to the CIA. The SSR is the precursor to S.H.I.E.L.D. There’s some satellite offices in New York and right now their primary concern is getting Zodiac.”

Which version of Zodiac isn't clear, but D'Esposito says, “Zodiac in the books has been many many different things. We just want you to know it’s deadly, it’s important, bad guys are guarding it, and it’s imperative she gets it.” That may suggest an object like the Zodiac Key rather than a person or group.

Atwell is joined by Dominic Cooper, reprising his role as Howard Stark, and The West Wing veteran Bradley Whitford as Peggy's sexist boss Agent Flynn. There's also a promise of more cameos from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel will premiere "Agent Carter" next week at Comic-Con. Iron Man 3 arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on Sept. 24.
