AMC has released a new batch of photos teasing the return of Fear the Walking Dead's third season. The show has been on its midseason hiatus since July 9, but will soon begin rounding out its third season with a two-episode premiere on September 10. The new photos offer a chance for fans to catch up with their favorite, and most reviled, survivors.

Fear the Walking Dead’s midseason finale concluded with the death of Dayton Callie’s Jeremiah Otto, one of the brutal heads of the Broke Jaw Ranch community, at the behest of Qaletaqa Walker (Michael Greyeyes). According to the photos, Qaletaqa is alive and well when the third season returns, and in a slightly more predictable place than Victor Strand, who was last seen setting fire to the boat Abigail and then hightailing it north.

While personal dramas are at the heart of Fear the Walking Dead, that doesn’t mean the series’ zombies are resting on their desiccated laurels. The new photos show a horde of bloodthirsty walkers gaining ground on a group of survivors scrounging for water. Given that much of the show has been set around the United States-Mexico border, resources like food, water and shelter are likely to continue to play a major role in who lives, who dies and who gets fed to the horde.
