New Human Torch Michael B. Jordan apparently loves to talk about his superhero duds. Following an interviews last week in which he promised the costumes in the Fox reboot won't be "cheesy," he expanded on his thoughts to ABC News.

"It's a new look," he said. "We are all in containment suits. ... It's gritty. It's a gritty film."

Anyone envisioning hazmat suits instead of the Fantastic Four's classic tights need not worry, however.

"The costume process definitely took some time to get in and out of that thing, especially since I was bulking up," he said. "It was a little more snug during filming. We got through it, man. It was a process, but we did it. It was hard work."

Jordan had nothing but positive things to say about the shoot and the film, adding that he is "really excited about it."

"We worked hard for three months, put a lot of time into it. The script is very grounded and relatable to everybody, as much as you can. You really get a chance to grow with these characters. It's an origin story. You get to discover these abilities -- these disabilities, rather -- and grow with them."

Directed by Josh Trank, Fantastic Four also stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell. It opens Aug. 7, 2015.
