The cast talked to Australia’s Daily Telegraph about the deal they signed. Apparently, the contracts allow a twelve year period (that’s no typo) to complete three movies. “The Thing’s going to be walking around with a cane,” Chiklis said.
Meanwhile, Superhero Hype has the new poster now being seen in the United Kingdom.
Finally, there’s a fourth QuickTime TV spot at the MovieBox.
Sci Fi Wire caught actor Breckin Meyer at the junket for “Herbie: Fully Loaded” where he talked about a return for the lasagna-eating feline. “There’s a lot of buzz about a sequel for Garfield,” Meyer said. “It did very well. That surprised me. I don’t know if it surprised them. It did very well.” He also alleges that Bill Murray will return as the title character’s voice.
Superhero Hype has an interview with actors Katie Holmes and Michael Caine, where they gossip about hallway kisses and how much they want to do a sequel. Caine also talked to Sci Fi Wire about the inspiration he drew from Michael Gough, who played Alfred in the last four “Batman” movies, as well as fleshing out the character.
According to Variety (subscription required), Hugh Jackman’s new production company Seed Productions will take the lead on the snikt-filled spin-off movie to be filmed after “X-Men 3,” working from a script by David Benioff. Jackman’s gotten some early experience, helping out with the director-go-round on “X3.” “It got to be a roller-coaster ride there, but I wasn’t worried because the script is so strong,” Jackman said. “Matthew had his reasons but helped make the movie better before he left. Brett has come in with a lot of enthusiasm and full understanding of the franchise. It has been a real learning curve, as has been putting together the script on ‘Wolverine.’ That project is a good start for me as producer, because I have intimate knowledge of the character.”
THAT’S A WRAP
