Warner Bros. and director David Yates are reportedly closing in on two female leads to star opposite Eddie Redmayne in the “Harry Potter” spinoff “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

According to TheWrap, multiple sources contend Saoirse Ronan, Dakota Fanning (above), Lili Simmons and Alison Sudol are being considered for the role of Tina, while Kate Upton, Katherine Waterston and Elizabeth Debicki are possibilities to play Tina’s older sister, Queenie.

Whether all of those actresses are interested and available is, of course, another question, as is whether there are more names on the shortlist. TheWrap reports Redmayne is expected to read alongside those candidates with deals for screen tests.

Written by J.K. Rowling, the film follows the adventures of famous magizoologist Newt Scamander in New York City, several decades before the events of “Harry Potter.” Scamander’s pioneering work in magizoology becomes a fundamental part of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Planned as a trilogy, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will premiere Nov. 18, 2016.
