The latest "Twin Peaks" teaser trailer has just hit Twitter, and this one is all about the old, familiar faces.

There are some vintage Lynchian touches in the 30-second teaser with the footage of the road at night illuminated by a car's headlights, and some lingering shots of a number of characters ending with a haggard-looking Agent Cooper (Kyle Mclaughlin), each noticeably (and understandably) much older than when we last saw them on the show. It will be very interesting to see how the show addresses decades that have elapsed between its first two seasons and the returning show's upcoming third.

“Twin Peaks” boasts 217 cast members, including series veterans such as Kyle MacLachlan, Sherilyn Fenn, Michael Horse, Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise, Madchen Amick, Miguel Ferrer, David Duchovny and Lynch himself, along with newcomers Michael Cera, Richard Chamberlain, Laura Dern, Meg Foster, Ernie Hudson, Caleb Landry Jones, Ashley Judd, Jane Levy, Trent Reznor, Tim Roth, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Vedder and Naomi Watts.

“Twin Peaks” returns Sunday, May 21, at 9 p.m. ET/PT with a two-hour premiere on Showtime. Immediately after the premiere, subscribers will be able to access the third and fourth episodes on Showtime’s streaming platform and on Showtime On Demand.
