There’s a new enemy in the War on Terror, and it’s not of this Earth. Syfy’s upcoming alien thriller series, “Hunters,” is debuting April 11th. Based on the 2013 novel “Alien Hunter” by Whitley Strieber, the series is executive produced by “The Walk Dead’s” Gale Anne Hurd and produced by “12 Monkey’s” Natalie Chaidez.

io9 recently premiered a new, high-res look at the forthcoming series, which stars Nathan Phillips (“Wolf Creek”) as Flynn, a headstrong Baltimore FBI agent with a dark past trying to piece together the disappearance of his wife. Britne Oldford (“American Horror Story”) plays Regan, one of the government’s most valuable operatives with some secrets of her own. Julian McMahon (“Nip/Tuck”) is McCarthy, an unhinged junkie and Hunter cell leader.

The “Alien Hunter” novel is centered on a Philadelphia cop obsessed with finding his missing wife. His search leads him to a secret government unit tasked with hunting a group of shadowy terrorists who may not be from this world.
