Official Press Release
After the previous announcements of artists Frank Cho (USA), Dave Gibbons(UK), Brandon Peterson (USA) and fantasy-artist Anne Stokes (UK) to our 20th anniversary show in Gent, Belgium, we are now pleased to introduce artist Greg Capullo to the growing ensemble of guests.
Greg Capullo’s work on Quasar and X-Force earned him the attention of Todd McFarlane, who invited him to become the Spawn-artist for many years. An immense track record of Spawn comics and the famous spinoff Angela became obvious soon enough. Add to that also his own creation Creech and his current comic assignment as the regular artist on the Kirkman/McFarlane comic “Haunt” and you can sure call him a superstar!
“Ever since Greg took over from Todd McFarlane on that long running series Spawn, I have had my eyes on him”, said Emmanuel van Melkebeke, F.A.C.T.S. Convention Director. “Greg has a definite and amazing style, that is often imitated but never surpassed. To have a guest of his caliber is sure fitting for a 20th birthday of the show. I cannot wait to be witness of his presence and see him draw Spawn sketches!”
Many more guests, including artists and actors, are still to be announced.
The current list of actors are Robert Picardo and Jewel Staite, since Kristanna Loken had a movie to shoot and canceled her appearance at the 20th anniversary of FACTS.
The current list of artists consists off Frank Cho, Dave Gibbons, Brandon Peterson, Anne Stokes, Adrien Floch and regular guest cartoonist Lectrr.
