EXCLUSIVE: Wilson’s Variant Cover for Hill & Rodriguez’s “Tales from the Darkside” #1

The “Locke & Key” duo of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez are back together at IDW Publishing, this time revisiting horror anthology TV series “Tales from the Darkside” for comics. CBR has the exclusive first look at Charles Paul Wilson III‘s variant cover for #1, plus the solicitation text for June’s debut issue.

“This is the show that could’ve been,” Hill said in IDW’s press release, speaking of the rebooted “Tales from the Darkside” TV series he worked on that did not get picked up as a series, which inspired this comic. “The original ‘Tales from the Darkside’ was a fun, bleak little spin on the ‘Twilight Zone’ style anthology. My idea is to give readers a little more. Every story is meant to stand alone, but gradually, you will come to see how they all connect, to tell a single larger story.”
