EXCLUSIVE: Venom’s All Tongue in Tradd Moore Variant Cover

The first issue of the classic Spider-Man villain’s all-new series doesn’t arrive until November 23, but that won’t stop us from debuting the first look at a tongue-tastic variant cover for “Venom” #2.

Courtesy of Marvel Comics, CBR has the exclusive debut of one of “Venom” #2’s variant covers. Drawn and colored by Tradd Moore (“Ghost Rider,” “Legacy of Luther Strode”) features the character, once again sporting his classic look, tongue wagging and webs spinning as he descends upon some unfortunate soul.

“The symbiote you know and love has returned to New York City,” teases Marvel’s solicitation text for “Venom #1. “No more ‘Agent of the Cosmos.’ No more ‘Lethal Protector.’ It’s time for a new Venom, and it’s great to be bad.” The second issue’s solicit text doubles down on the badness, promising the character has returned to being a “slathering, fanged monster.”

Written by Mike Costa with art by Gerardo Sandoval, “Venom” #1 arrives in stores Wednesday, Nov. 23. Check out the variant cover and full solicitation text for the series’ first two issues below.
