DC Comics has provided CBR with an exclusive first look at Dustin Nguyen‘s cover for “Batman Eternal” #17, continuing the weekly series that promises to change up the status quo for the Batman family. Written by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Ray Fawkes, John Layman and Tim Seeley with interiors by Nguyen and Derek Fridolfs, the cover shows Batman quite literally falling as his cape forms into a mysterious face.
Nguyen and Fridolfs are no strangers to the “Batman Eternal” status quo — fans will remember their art style from the future-shifted “Batman” #28, which debuted the new, more superheroic design for Harper Row.
“I think one of the fun things about having this series be so collaborative is that each of us have genres that we love,” Snyder told CBR of “Batman Eternal” in April. “A story that’s so big, with so many moving parts that will all come together for a crazy crescendo, gives us each a chance to explore those areas of Batman’s adaptability.”
