When the penultimate issue of Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.'s longform epic "Kick-Ass" hits stores on February 26, artist Paolo Rivera's name will join the ranks of superstars to have graced the series with variant cover interpretations of its main stars, the titular character and Hit-Girl. However, rather than showing the young heroes in moments of relaxation like Duncan Fegredo's action figure melee scene or a well-earned rest after a successful battle like Jerome Opeña's "New York Post" tribute. Instead, Rivera deals with the inevitable recovery Dave Lizewski may very well need after facing down the gathered forces of the Mother Fucker once the series reaches its comic book conclusion.

Check out Rivera's variant and the full solicitation for the next-to-last chapter of "Kick-Ass 3" below!

KICK-ASS 3 #7

MARK MILLAR (W) • JOHN ROMITA JR. (A/C)

Sketch Variant by JOHN ROMITA JR.
Variant cover by PAULO RIVERA

Hit-Girl's day of reckoning has arrived. Tied up mentally and physically, she's an easy mark even for a washed-up super-villain like Chris Genovese (formerly known as The Mother F**ker). Where is Kick-Ass when she needs him most? What's happened to ALL the costumed superheroes? A major character death is imminent and with only one more issue before the series finale, it could be anyone!
