When Marvel announced its upcoming "Original Sins" anthology, the publisher promised to use the pages of the miniseries to shine its spotlight on a number of characters, from the Young Avengers to Dr. Doom and beyond. And among them, a few will go on to headline their own ongoing series, including the Michael Collins incarnation of Deathlok, Marvel's reluctant cyborg hero.

And while the creative team of the eventual series is yet to be determined, for ten pages, Nathan Edmondson and Mike Perkins will re-integrate Collins into the Marvel U in his "Original Sins" tale. Below, CBR presents an exclusive first look at art from the story, seen only by attendees of the Marvel Unlimited panel at C2E2, along with some of Perkins' character design sketches.

"I'm a huge Deathlok fan," Perkins related during the C2E2 panel. "Massive. And when they announced they were gonna bring him over to 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' I got in touch with [Marvel editor-in-chief] Axel Alonso, probably the second biggest Deathlok fan. We're using the Michael Collins Deathlok, but we're still very aware that people will know Deathlok from ['S.H.I.E.L.D.']" Collins, who doesn't realize he's Deathlok in the Edmondson-scripted story, has four different modes, including a 'visually familiar' combat mode. "All these people here need to write letters to Marvel saying, 'We want Mike Perkins to do a Deathlok series,'" Perkins added.
