The Scarecrow -- Jonathan Crane, at least -- has officially arrived in Fox's "Gotham," and that means fearful times ahead for the city, with --as Batman fans know -- long-term implications. CBR has the exclusive first look at a new featurette from the series, recapping the "Gotham" origins of the enduring villain, played here in a formative stage by Charlie Tahan, along with commentary from series stars Ben McKenzie and Donal Logue (the show's James Gordon and Harvey Bullock, respectively) about the impact Scarecrow may have going forward.

"The Scarecrow has been introduced, which I think will lead us in future seasons to be able to come back to the story and show just how much havoc he can wreak upon the citizens of Gotham," McKenzie says in the clip.

"Gotham" airs 8 p.m. Mondays on Fox. The next installment, "The Blind Fortune Teller," airs Feb. 16.
