An Indiegogo campaign to fund an anthology to benefit veteran artist Norm Breyfogle in nearly halfway to its $10,000 goal, but there are just 14 days left.

ROBOT 6 has an exclusive first look at art from a new Grimjack story by John Ostrander, Timothy Truman and Lovern Kinzierski that will be included in the book if the fundraising effort reaches $15,000.

Well known for his work on Batman and Detective Comics in the 1980s and '90s, the 55-year-old artist suffered a stroke in December that paralyzed the left side of his body. Although one fundraising effort generated more than $99,000 to help pay for Breyfogle's recovery, that's barely half of what's required for his extended care and physical therapy  at a nursing home.

That's where ComicMix's "Whisper Campaign" comes in: The publisher seeks to fund a 280-page trade paperback that will feature reprints of Whisper #3-11, the 1986 series created by Breyfogle and Steven Grant, and a never-before-released Munden's Bar story drawn by the artist and written by Martha Thomases and Valerie D'Orazio.

Among the campaign's stretch goals are stories by the likes of Grant, Robert Greenberger, Tom Lyle, Mike Friedriech, Mike Baron, Danny Fingeroth, Bob Hall, Neil Handson, as well as the aforementioned Ostrander, Truman and Kinzierski.

The anthology is targeted for release in December.
