Even though Marvel's publishing line primarily operates in low issue numbers these days, the company always seems to be aware of when a big anniversary pops up -- such as December's "Captain Marvel" #10 marking 100 combined solo issues starring Carol Danvers. CBR has the exclusive reveal of the cover and solicitation of the oversized issue by Kelly Sue DeConnick, David Lopez, Marcio Takara and more.

How did Carol get to this point? Twenty-three issues of the original "Ms. Marvel" series that started in 1977 + 50 issues of the subsequent "Ms. Marvel" run that started in 2006 + 17 issues of the "Captain Marvel" book that launched in 2012, the first featuring the character in her current superhero identity + 10 issues of the current, relaunched volume as of this December = 100 issues by the end of 2014. Lopez's cover -- an homage to the original "Ms. Marvel" #1 -- and solicitation text for December's "Captain Marvel" #10 follow.
