DC Comics has provided CBR with an exclusive first look at Jason Fabok's cover for "Batman Eternal" #4, which shows the artist's take on both the Dark Knight and Batgirl colliding during a thunderstorm high above the Gotham City skyline.

"Batman Eternal" scribe Scott Snyder discussed a bit of what's to come in the weekly series following his spoiler-filled "Batman" #28, which jumped into the future to tease upcoming events.

"There's going to be 52 plus issues, that's more than double what I've written on 'Batman' at this point -- you can imagine with that space and room to breathe we want to show every corner of Gotham from the newspaper, the Gazette, to the absolute baddest super villains and so on you can bring to the streets," Snyder told CBR. "For me, the theme of it is that we want it to be a story that really shakes Gotham. From the very first panels you'll see Gotham really brought to its knees. I know we say that a lot -- and you know, we do it a lot!"

"Batman Eternal" #4 hits stores April 30.
