This October, Mark Millar and Greg Capullo will team up for a new series that offers up a new definition of the afterlife: "Reborn." The series from Image Comics will focus on Bonnie Black, an 80-year-old woman who is reborn as a young warrior and dropped into another realm upon her death. Her mission: find her long deceased husband.

Ahead of the series' debut this October, CBR has your first look at the debut issue's covers -- including its variants from superstar artists like Todd McFarlane, Jock, John Cassaday and Frank Cho. In addition to those all-star variants, "Reborn" #1 will come with two regular covers by series artist Greg Capullo as well as one sketch cover highlighting the acclaimed artist's line-work.
"Reborn," which will be Capullo's first ongoing series since wrapping up his acclaimed "Batman" run with Scott Snyder, was announced back in June. The official description of the series reads:
"It’s not Heaven. It’s not Hell. It’s as real and hard as where we live now, but filled with the most amazing fantasy landscapes, jaw-dropping creatures and a battle raging between good and evil. The people she loved are in this world -- her father and her childhood dog -- but oddly, not her husband who had passed over 14 years before. So she sets out to find him. She realizes that she has been reborn as a 25 year-old woman with a sword in her hand and gun of her hip."
The final order cut off for "Reborn" #1 for retailers is September 19. "Reborn" #1 arrives in stores on October 12.
