"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" is due out August 22, and Dimension Films has been slowly rolling out promotional materials in anticipation of the release -- including character posters for Rosario Dawson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mickey Rourke, Josh Brolin and another for Jessica Alba as Nancy. As it turns out, the MPAA had a problem with one of the posters, deemed a little too risque. Deadline reports that the poster of Eva Green's character caused the MPAA to "nix" the image because of "nudity -- curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown."

It's perhaps fitting, then, that the caption on the MPAA-unapproved poster reads, "I've been especially bad."

Deadline notes that it's not out of the ordinary for the MPAA to weigh in like this, and that the association is currently attempting to reach a compromise with the film's team.

Check out the original version of the poster below.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez, "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" contains two original stories by series creator Frank Miller, as well as plots based on the titular "A Dame to Kill For" and the short story "Just Another Saturday Night." Green is joined by returning "Sin City" cast members Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Bruce Willis and Mickey Rourke; alongside newcomers Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin and more. The film was originally scheduled to debut in October 2013, but was pushed back to its current August 22 release date.
