"ER's" Dr. Peter Benton, actor Eriq La Salle, has joined Hugh Jackman, Stephen Merchant and Richard E. Grant in "Wolverine 3."

"ER's" Dr. Peter Benton, actor Eriq La Salle, has joined Hugh Jackman, in "Wolverine 3." This news comes via Variety, who reported La Salle's casting today.

La Salle will join "The Office's" Stephen Merchant, "Doctor Who's" Richard E. Grant, and "Narcos'" Boyd Holbrook.

While details of "Wolverine 3's" plot is being tightly kept under wraps, there are rumors that X-23 could make her debut in the film and that it could be rated-R.

La Salle's most recent work includes directing episodes of "Once Upon a Time," "Lucifer," "Rosewood," and "CSI: Cyber." He also played Hektor Martin in "Under the Dome."

Currently "Wolverine 3" is set to open on March 3, 2017.
